Apples
This week we learned all about apples. We learned how and where they grow. We learned about different kinds of apples. Some students weighed and measured apples. We even go to taste 3 different kinds of apples and graph our favorites!

Numbers
This we learned all about numbers. We read a book called Boom Chicka Rock. The story was about mice who were numbers on a clock. We measured, played counting games, and made mice and a clock.
Next week we are beginning our unit on apples. Please remember to send an apple to school with your child!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
This week we learned lots of letters! We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and learned the song. We made letter collages, stamped letters, cut letters out of play dough and made Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees. We played a coconut counting game and got lots of practice writing our names.

All About Me
This week students got to talk all about themselves! Students shared family pictures with the class and drew family pictures that we hung up all around the room. We read books about feelings and students drew pictures of things that make them happy. Students also got to find out how tall they are and how much they weigh. We talked about some of our favorite things, everyone shared their favorite color, food, and activities that they enjoy at home.

Shapes
This week we learned about shapes. We went on a shape hunt around the school. We made shape trains. Some students were able to tell me about shapes around their house.
